While overlooked by both the athlete and non-athlete alike, conditioning, and its many sub-headings (flexibility, cardiovascular, and skill work), are not only important, but essential to performance and health.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the non-athlete, many people who seem to have little or no energy simply do not understand the concept of exercise (energy output) increasing their available energy for day-to-day activities. The common complaint is "I'm too tired to exercise."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In reality, proper conditioning will increase metabolic rate and provide a more efficient and healthier body, thus leaving more energy available.

In the athlete, the advantages of conditioning are obvious
